My wife Katie, kids, and I strive hard to create a consistent, quality experience for our guests. Our apartments feature many custom touches made by our family. We enjoy working with our hands to build a comfortable space. We continue to add and improve the spaces as we have time and input. You will usually find us either working or sitting and enjoying a cold beverage from our favorite local brewery.

Before Borealis, we had Ebrewsupply
When we purchased the property in 2015, we had a company called Electric Brewing Supply. The purpose of the business was to support and supply the brewing community, predominantly home scale, with high quality (often imported) electronics and hardware to build the popular electric brewing setups that became all the trend from 2012 through 2023.
As the business grew, it’s needs took over much of the property, and even included an expansion in the form our public restroom and garage addition. Every year we made changes, and worked for more. At our peak we had 4 full time employees.
During COVID, like so many other business, we saw great success and failure at the same time. While we were selling well, our costs grew faster than we could raise our prices. This resulted in a flip in 2022. As the trends continue to this day, the brewers and drinkers also left. With desires and opportunities elsewhere we finally tossed in the hat in 2025.
Its previous life…
Founded by Bill and Nancy Leonard in 1975, the Einerlei was a popular draw to the Chassell community, and for many in the region, the name of the building. The store grew over the years from a small area, what is today the rental, to the entire building by its end. Featuring high end kitchenware, clothing, gifts, flowers, and gardens; the store was a focal point in the community, and so was its owners. Closed in November 2015 when they retired and we purchased the property.
To Bill and Nancy, the name in German means “one and the same” and meant life integrating work, play, interests, and projects. To this day we try to carry on this tradition as our family carries on the tradition of work, play and projects. We respect the work that came before us and want to remember that every day as we reinvent a historic property.
