Enjoy a modern comfortable, warm, and expansive living space during your adventures in the UP. A welcoming space with full size kitchen amenities, 2 bedrooms with a King bed and 2 twin beds make for a perfect fit for most any family. Ample room for a group to enjoy some quality time together catching up on life or board games. A short walk to the beach for a swim in the summer, or Ice Fishing in the winter. Ample on premise parking for your snowmobile trailers or other outdoor entertainment.
Unit consists of 4 rooms, 2 bedrooms, bath, and a large kitchen/living area. Approximately 900 square feet worth of space to spread out and make yourselves comfortable. Kitchen is equipped with all the pots and pans you may need, along with full size stove, refrigerator and dishwasher, to prepare a nice meal for friends and family and quickly clean up. Bathroom has ample room for a pair to get ready with dual sinks, as well as in suite washer/dryer for those longer stays.
Because we live on premise we can be available for any questions or help you may need. We have deep resources both on premise and in the community for if you need help with something. We have done our best to provide a place you can be as autonomous as you want but certainly can assist as needed.

While this unit is on the main level, it does require access via stairs either out front or from the interior. It is a limited few, 1-4 steps.

Origin of Einerlei
Founded by Bill and Nancy Leonard in 1975, the Einerlei was a popular draw to the Chassell community. The store grew over the years from a small area, what is today the rental, to the entire building by its end. Featuring high end kitchenware, clothing, gifts, flowers, and gardens; the store was a focal point in the community, and so was its owners. Closed in November 2015 when they retired.
To Bill and Nancy, the name in German means “one and the same” and meant life integrating work, play, interests, and projects. To this day we try to carry on this tradition as our family carries on the tradition of work, play and projects. We respect the work that came before us and want to remember that every day as we reinvent a historic property.

While the unit is listed for 4 adults, the unit has ample couch space for an extra kid or 2. Just give us a heads up and we’ll add additional blankets and pillows to the space.
How do I enter the unit

This unit has 2 entry points. During the summer months you can enter from both the exterior front door, via 3 steps, or via the interior door via 2 steps down. Both entries come in to the main living area; but one is protected from the elements.
Will the space be dead silent?

We’re sorry but no. Even with all the efforts we have taken to dampen the sounds. The highway does provide for most of the noise, but the bulk of the noise is during daytime hours with nominal at night. There are other guests and residents that you may also here slightly, but it would be in the form of light footsteps, typically.

If you need to check in early, please reach out as we often can accommodate you.

Because we have a large lobby area, we welcome guests who may need to drop their items off prior to check in time. If available, we can give you early access to the unit, but in case not, there is space to wait.
